Working Together to Make Affordable Housing Available to All Mainers
Owning your own home is part of the American dream. But sadly it’s a dream that some of Maine’s less fortunate can’t share in. Now many of our guests who call The Dunes their home away from home can help us make owning a home a reality for everyone. Thanks to your generosity, through The Dunes special Hospitality for Habitat program, we are able to continue working with inns all across Maine to help Habitat for Humanity build warm, affordable housing for all Mainers.
Over the last 17 years, Hospitality Maine (formerly Maine Innkeepers Association) has raised funds through participating Maine inns. Funds are distributed across Habitat for Humanity chapters. With help from our guests, The Dunes has raised over $12,500 over the last ten years.
Our Hospitality for Habitat lodging special has been developed to provide big benefits for both our guests and the many families who need our help. Simply visit between April 29 – May 19th and your room will be deeply discounted with a minimum donation of $50 to Habitat for Humanity. Whether you stay two days or ten, with just one donation, your entire stay will be discounted.
We’re thankful to all of our guests who’ve been a part of this program’s ongoing success! We hope that as 2022 unfolds, you’ll help us again by telling a friend, family member, or even a stranger about Hospitality for Habitat. Or better yet, come visit yourself.
