To our Dunes on the Waterfront Guests,

We don’t have to tell you that the summer of 2020 was a little unusual … what with masks, social distancing and COVID-19 protocols. It was an unprecedented challenge to keep both our staff and guests safe, healthy and happy. But with the help of our hardworking team, we all pulled together and made it work. We have you to thank for that.

It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces this summer. It was amazing. We can’t thank you enough. And there were quite a few new ones too. While we did miss some of our returning guests, your continued support and words of encouragement have meant a lot to us. Especially during these tough times. We hope to see you back in ‘21!

A lot changed in 2020. The way we traveled. Where we traveled. How we interact with others. Here at The Dunes things were different too. Masks and social distancing were the norm. What’s more, we tightened our own safety and cleaning protocols while also adhering to state regulations. Life was a bit different on the streets of Ogunquit as well.

But while business was not “as usual”, fortunately, the true essence of The Dunes experience remained essentially unchanged. Guests were relieved to find the same smiling faces (you’ll have to trust us on that one …we were wearing masks). And while the contact was minimized, we still found ways to make sure our visitors received the same kind of personal touch they’ve come to expect from our team.

And then there are those moments that seem to remain immune to everything else going on in the world.  A watercolor sunset with a glass of wine in one of our Adirondacks chairs Relaxing to a soothing Atlantic breeze while the water laps over your feet. Feasting on lobster cooked in your cottage kitchen. Or just strolling barefoot across our 12 acres of beautifully manicured grounds. It’s the kind of place we hope you’ll always be able to return to when you need to just breathe deep, relax and reconnect with family and friends.

All in all, our 85th summer season will be one that we will never forget.  Please accept our heartfelt gratitude for your ongoing support and rest assured that we’ve already begun preparing for what we hope will be a very different 2021 season.

Have a healthy and safe holiday and we look forward to seeing you at The Dunes sometime soon.

Bring on 2021!
